Partnerships for Development

Improving aid is all about improving partnerships for development, to harness the energy, skills and experience of all stakeholders – not just governments and donors, but international organisations, civil society organisations and the private sector.  The aid scene is becoming ever more diverse.  Non-DAC donors are becoming increasingly prominent, and new mechanisms for channelling finance, such as global funds, are appearing all the time.  At Accra, we recognised that this diversity is a strength which should be welcomed.  However, it also increases the challenges of management and coordination, which is essential to increasing the effectiveness of aid.

In this section, we explore the following priorities identified at Accra.
