Norms and standards for evaluating development cooperation

One of the functions of the DAC Network on Development Evaluation is to publish norms and standards on evaluation. This publication includes: a set of core principles for evaluation of development assistance (1991, reviewed in 1998); the standard Evaluation Criteria used by DAC members; a Working Tool for assessing evaluation systems and practices by donor agencies and ministries; and the DAC Evaluation Quality Standards (2006).
