Background
The Asia-Pacific Consultation on the Fourth High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness, facilitated by the Capacity Development for Development Effectiveness (CDDE) Facility in partnership with the OECD DAC. The CDDE Facility and this consultation meeting are supported by the Asian Development Bank, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea and UNDP’s Asia Pacific Regional Centre.
The Asia Pacific Consultation will bring together government officials, parliamentary and civil society representatives from twenty countries of the region to discuss their policy priorities on aid reform. The consultation will help countries in their preparation for participation in the upcoming 4th High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Busan, Korea on 29 November – 1 December 2011.
The consultation is being organized in Bangkok and will directly follow the Asia Pacific Climate Change Finance and Development Effectiveness Dialogue on 12-13 September 2011. By facilitating these meetings together we hope to deliver lesson learning directly across these areas of development effectiveness, as well as maximizing the use of officials’ valuable time.
